Vic:Police wait for first light to properly investigate car find

A car belonging to a missing Melbourne couple has been taken away for forensic testingafter it was found in an inner-city bayside suburb last night.

A crime scene was set up by the Homicide Squad at the corner of Page Street and ArmstrongStreet, Middle Park, after the silver Mercedes was discovered by a passer-by about 7.30pm(AEST).

Police say full investigations are likely to get underway at first light this morning.

MARGARET WALES-KING, 68, and her second husband, 70-year-old PAUL KING, have not beenseen since they left a family dinner last Thursday night.

The normally regimented and fastidious couple have since missed numerous appointmentswith family, friends, doctors, gardeners and builders.

Detective Inspector BRIAN RIX says police are investigating several possibilities,but there is no indication the couple are victims of a robbery and their bank accountshave not been touched.

Their family says Mr KING requires constant medical attention after suffering several strokes.
