A tough act to follow.(coal mining company John Holland lands contracts in Indonesia)

Experience in accessing remote locations has helped John Holland secure a number of contracts in Indonesia over the past few years.

The company is currently managing a coal mining project in South Kalimantan and developing a copper and gold mine on the Indonesian island of Sumbawa.

Chief executive officer of John Holland Asia, Mr Dario Amara, said more than 25 years of working in South East Asia had provided the company with the know-how to tackle tough areas.

"Our experience in working in some of the region's remotest locations has provided us with intricate knowledge of what's required to run a major isolated project," Mr Amara said.
