Millennium Challenge Account issued General Procurement Notice (GPN) for provision of Mafia Island Airport works, TS1 safety audit for Tanga-Horohoro road works, printing of MCA-T newsletter, provision of office supplies, air conditioning units, office equipment maintenance & repairs and other goods and services.

The United States of America acting through the Millennium Challenge Corporation ( MCC ) and the Government of Tanzania (the Government ) have entered into a Millennium Challenge Compact ( the Compact ) for Millennium Challenge Account assistance to help facilitate poverty reduction through economic growth in Tanzania in the amount of USD 698,136,000.00 ( MCC Funding ).

The Millennium Challenge Account-Tanzania ( MCA-T ) on behalf of the Government intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of MCC Funding to eligible payments for contracts for goods, works and services. Payments by MCA-T will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions, including restrictions on the use of MCC Funding, of the Compact.

The procurement is expected to commence during the period 1 April to 30 September, 2011 at an estimated total cost of about USD 10 million.

The work is to be classified as transport sector : Mafia Island Airport Works. TMA1 Construction of Airport Extension (CB). IFB expected to be issued in the month of April 2011.

Services: TS1 Safety Audit for Tanga-Horohoro Road Works (IC). CV%s to be requested by May 2011.

Programme Administration includes goods like AG1 printing of MCA-T newsletter (Jan-March 2011) (Shopping), AG2 provision of office supplies to MCA-T on a call-off basis (Shopping), AG3 air conditioning units for MCA-T office (Shopping), non consulting services like ANC1 office equipment maintenance & repairs, MCA-T office, Zanzibar (Shopping), ANC2 office maintenance & repairs, MCA-T offices Dar es Salaam, ANC3 office equipment repairs & maintenance for MCA-T, Dar es Salaam, ANC4 office security services, MCA-T Zanzibar (DC), ANC5 office security services, MCA-T Dar es Salaam (DC) and ANC6 Internet Services Provider (DC).

Consultancy Services includes AS1 Technical Evaluation Panel Members (IC). Also provision of works like EW1 Renewable/Solar Works, Kigoma (CB), and services like ES1 Supervision of Renewable/Solar Works (SSS).

The contract may also include Monitoring and Evaluation services like M&E1 M & E Training (SSS), M&E2 Updating M&E Manual (SSS) and M&E3 Workshop Facilitator (IC).
